Paris lies in a temperate climate zone.
In general, Paris sees warm and sunny summers (average July temperature of 18º C/ 64º F in Paris). Winter is the rainy season (average January temperature of 2º C/ 36º F in Paris). The best seasons are spring and autumn.
In spring as well as autumn you should bring a warm jacket or coat with you. Also you should not forget waterproof shoes and an umbrella, since it rains often in Paris (even in summer!).
In summer it can get very hot in the capital so pack light and don’t forget skirts, shorts and sandals. Bring a light jacket so you don’t get cold in the evenings.
In winter you will need more than just a coat. The temperatures get quite low and cold wind and rain does not help the situation. If you come to Paris in winter, don’t forget warm pullovers, boots (warm and waterproof!) and a big umbrella, since winter is a rainy season.
