The Louvre has extensive art collections organized into seven departments.

 

These are housed in the three wings of the museum: Sully, Denon, and Richelieu, which are positioned to the west, south, and north of the Pyramid respectively.

 

The Hall Napoléon is the name used to denote the space beneath the Pyramid which is now the official entrance to the Louvre.
