The Marche d’Aligre is a covered market with about a hundred vendors, which, on the weekend, sells everything from vintage clothes to Arabic or African products to Bourgeois make-up. Next to it, look for Marche Beauvau, which is more focused on gourmet food and antique stalls. You will find a cheese vendor where you will find a wonderful selection.

The butcher prepares an amazing sucking pig every week-end. He will take the time to advise and talk to you about the best manner to cook your pig. The bakery is a must in the market. Their bread is made with organic flour.
At the end of the day, you will see amazing prices, a whole strawberry crate for only 2€. Even if they're not fresh enough to eat as is, you can always make a lovely jam or tart with them.
